Warning: My Online Watch Hunt Was a Total Waste of Time & Disappointment! 😤
I'm writing this to warn others about the frustrating experience I had trying to purchase a watch online. It was truly terrible, and I felt compelled to share it so others don't fall into the same trap. I was looking to purchase a particular watch as a wedding gift for my fiancé, something special. After spending so much time browsing and choosing, I discovered that even though it was listed, they simply didn't have the particular watch I wanted in stock! This wasn't clear online, which led to a lot of wasted time and disappointment. That’s why I decided to contact customer service and share my experience here.
Customer: I'm really upset. I spent ages on your website trying to find a specific watch for my fiancé's wedding gift, and it wasn't clear at all that it wasn't in stock. CS Rep: I understand your frustration. Can you please tell me which watch model you were looking for? I'd like to check our system for you. Customer: It's a Rolex Submariner No-Date. I saw it online, but then when I tried to proceed, it said out of stock. Why isn't that clearer from the start? CS Rep: I apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Our inventory updates can sometimes have a slight delay, and popular models like the Submariner No-Date do sell out very quickly. I'm checking now… it appears that model is currently out of stock online. Customer: So, what now? Am I just out of luck? This was supposed to be a special gift. CS Rep: I completely understand your disappointment. While it's not available online right now, I can check our physical store inventory for you, or put you on a waiting list. Would you be interested in either of those options? Customer: I guess a waiting list, but this whole online experience needs to be better.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of wasting their time on items that aren't truly available.
